Can I bring my child to the sleepout? Yes, children over 10 can join with a parent, guardian, or teacher if coming as part of a school group. In fact, we'd love children to come to learn more about what homeless men and women face and to gain first hand education about this social issue. Children have previously done wonderful fundraising for us, for example running a distance that is a challenge to them and gaining sponsors that way. We award 'Restart Lives Charity Champion' badges to children who support this cause.

Will I be safe? We have taken measures to make sure all sleepers are safe. We are given permission by the council to close the road, so there is no worry of traffic causing a danger. We employ security guards to further ensure everyone's safety. We have members of staff awake throughout the night, monitoring the event and ready to escalate any issues. There will be a qualified first aider and a designated child liaison officer for the safeguarding of children, plus school groups will adhere to their own safeguarding procedures for off site trips. If the weather becomes intolerable, or anyone feels unwell or unable to continue, there is the warm space of the church hall to retreat to.

What facilities will be available on site? There are toilets inside the church which are accessible throughout the night, plus you will have access to hot drinks and snacks such as biscuits. In the morning, a hot breakfast of a bacon or veggie roll awaits for all sleepers.

Can I join as part of a team? Absolutely! This is a great way to keep motivated and to get your friends and colleagues on board with a cause you care about. Everyone needs to register as an individual so that we have each person's details for event management purposes, but you can then link your Justgiving pages together with our simple instructions.

How do I get there? It may be easiest to get to us via public transport. Nearest tube stations are: Knightsbridge Sloane Square South Kensington We are unable to provide parking so if you choose to drive, please make your own arrangements locally. NB: the area is heavily permit-holder only.
